Party Game: Train Stations
By: Laurie S. Location: Brockville, ON
Cut out large circles of bristle board and write down the name of a different train station on each circle, or a different train part on each circle. (Whistle, engine, wheel etc.) Arrange the cut-outs in a large circle and when the music starts, have the children walk in a circle on top of the stations. (You might want to tape down the cardboard) When the music stops, the children stand on the station, or train part they are closest to. Have a few prizes ready with a label on it specifying a train part or the name of a station, and the child who is standing on the corresponding name is the winner. Start up the music again and continue playing until all the prizes are won.
